The author argues that the key to this restoration was God becoming man in the form of the "messiah," Jesus, but this crucial detail—that the messiah would die and rise again to reverse the curse of death—was "hidden in plain sight" throughout the Old Testament, not clearly revealed to either humans or divine enemies.
